A Study
in Scarlet

Arthur Conan Doyle.
J.B. Lippincott Co. Philadelphia, 1890. Green and Gibson A1b.
17 1/8”x4 5/8” page size. Bound in 2001 in terra cotta goatskin with burgandy goatskin overbinding, linen thread, gold and painted tooling and acrylic paint.

The binding suggests the multi-layered Sherlock Holmes story, the circumstances of which have their origins in Utah, and where the word “RACHE”, written on a wall in blood, is a major clue.
